Shine On.

"No one lights a lamp and then hides it or puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house." Luke 11:33

For those who have put their faith in the Lord, the light of Christ gives us the ability to shine unto the entire world. We are more than capable to make a difference; we develop confidence. God did not illuminate your heart to just live under the radar, etc. He gave us this incredible Light to stand out! And to be RADIANT.

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.

new mercies each day!

"Great is His faithfulness. His mercies begin afresh each morning!" Lamentations 3:24
Despite the kind of day you had yesterday, today is a NEW day!! God takes an ordinary day and turns it into a beautiful one; just as He has made you a new person, He makes each day a NEW day!
Lately, I've been waking up in the mornings with a very anxious heart, before even getting out of bed. I know the Enemy is trying to steal my joy away first thing in the morning, but my God gives me the courage and strength to CHOOSE JOY instead and not give way to fear and anxiety. When joyfulness may not come easy to you in the morning, you have the power and ability to CHOOSE JOY! God will give you everything you need to experience His Joy in each day!!

Praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord God Almighty.

He First Loved

Last week a friend of my cousin emailed me, asking me to start writing for a his website called "He First Loved", which is based on 1 John 4:19 ("We love because He first loved us"). I immediately jumped on this opportunity. The site is filled with articles, poems, videos, etc. of young men and women who have completely fallen in deep love for Christ Jesus, and who have decided to let go of everything unnecessary in life to cling onto the ONLY thing that matters in the entire world...and that is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. The site is a great illustration of how the Body of Christ comes together to spread the gospel. HFL writers come from all over the nation, with all different stories, backgrounds, struggles, experiences, etc., but with the same motive-the same intention, which is to make Christ known. With one voice, we take a stand and wave our banner of Christ's Love for ALL to see.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7

"For God, who said, 'Let there be light in the darkness,' has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of God. We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves" (2 Corinthians 4:6-7).

The Lord has called each of His children to live a life of radiance, to reflect His glory to the ends of the earth. Just as we learn in Psalm 34:5 ("Those who look to the Lord for help will be radiant with joy..."), when we look to Jesus, who is the One True Light (John 1:9), we are transformed and are filled with radiance! Hebrews 1:3 says, "The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful Word." Our radiance is simply a reflection of Jesus Christ, the Radiant One.

In Marian Jordan's amazing amazing book entitled "Radiance", she shares some incredible personal stories and revelations from her life as she's learned that "a radiant woman reflects the radiant One". She says, "Reflecting the love and light of Christ to a broken world is the natural response when we spend time worshipping him. The more time we spend in the presence of Jesus, the Light of the World, the more others will see that 'Son-kissed glow' on us... As we are conformed to be more like Him, we become radiant women who are lit from within by His Love" (Radiance, 35-36). Throughout Marian's book, she paints this beautiful picture of woman who are falling in love more and more with Christ; and through this divine romance, the Lord never stops pursuing us. He will never fail us. He will never forsake us. Find comfort in that today as you pursue radiance in the radiant One.
